How We Serve
The Hillside SDA Church’s Community Services is the official community outreach ministry of the church. Our ministry serves the whole person, a concept known as holistic ministry. The purpose of holistic ministry is not only to proclaim the news of salvation through Jesus Christ, but to demonstrate the love of God to people who are in need.
In other words, we are the hands and feet who help our neighbors who have found themselves in need of food, out of work, or simply just need to supplement what runs out every once in a while.
We have been serving the communities in and around Harrisburg for decades. Today we offer a variety of services for families and individuals who are in need, something that is especially helpful during these tough times that have affected everyone. Our services include a complete food pantry, annual Christmas toy giveaway, and always a caring smile and encouraging prayer.
